This project is the replacement of the vcAin-owood stave pipe in one section of the city water works and calls for an expenditure of $36,-00- 7 with 80 men used in the construction. The $25,000 bond issue, authorized at the special election held last fall was for the purchase of material for this project. There will be replacement of 7,680 feet of wood stave pipe in the south part of the city with 12 inch cast iron pipe, the installation of 3,720 feet of six inch cast iron pipe and 700 feet of four inch iron pipe used at the springs and tunnel at the sorirce of the system. Reynolds Dies Sunday Morning More elaborate and lovely than ever the third annual Christmas Candle and Carol Service, was presented by the Junior high school in the auditorium Thursday night. It was the Clijristmas offering of the school to their parents and the public. This year there was one hundred more cairolers than before, the addition of the sixth grade to the school making 450 voices. The building was attractively decorated with many new features added. Because of the many requests for her return, Mrs. Lydia White Booth-b- y of Salt Lake, former harpist of the Boston Symphony orchestra was secured to give sacred harp music. She played a number of old favorites as well as some ancient carols. One of the new numbers rendered by the chorus was an old Spanish Carol called Pastoros a Belen, and was given by the entire chorus of 450 voices in the Spanish language.
