NIRE fire TRUCK IS NOW READY READI the completed fire truck for the local fire department was turned over to the city council for acceptance last evening py by the contractors losee 4 the bed which has haa been constructed by the local blacksmiths Is so arranged that the will sit along tho the sides aides facing the center and there wl wil be room for sixteen men besides the two on the drivers seat underneath the fir emens seats which can bo be lifted up and swung back is ia a large compartment part ment where the hose will bo be coiled and immediately tely back of the drivers seat is a compartment tor for the tha L storing ot of eight chemical thanks tanks which are not too large tor for a man to pick up and run with these ire are designed for or first aid in case of fire and will contain a chemical that is sure death to firo fire it if it has not got too good a start B hooks have been placed bathe oa the sid side e where the te ladders will be swung aid lanterns and axes will b be hung on tiie sides aides also in the engine lately in front ot of the driver hi haa beta been fastened which bwll bv bo sv rung cons constantly tanta when the truck is taken out to a fire The entire vehicle J has ben been painted a brilliant red and presents a most moat handsome hand soma appearance pe arance the boys are now a waiting for an opportunity to try out the now new apparatus but would must prefer the fire to break out in something of no value
