Last week we had the fans all iced working and lemonade handy today after twTo days of lovely showers we have fired op the stoves again We watched the rain clouds pass us by all last week but Sunday they opened up on us and gave us some much needed moisture Light flash floods have been reported in surrounding areas Utah's own day for celebration has come and gone with some communities observing the 24th on Saturday some on Monday As for us we had a most enjoyable time Saturday A colorful children’s parade was followed by a program after which young and old gathered on the grass beneath the tall trees at the home of the Joseph Palmers There were plenty of exciting races and games for young and old alike with many lovely prizes awarded Refreshments of all kinds (I were modify that “all kinds”) sold under the supervision of the School Soft ball was Sundiay enjoyed by the young men and women and free roller skating in the evening ended the day’s events Nice day nice time!
