Cemetery Midvale Chloe was born August 21 1918 at Abraham Utah the daughter of Marcus Luther and Mary Matclda Reed Fuchs In 1933 she moved with her parents and her brother Carol to Midvale Idaho where she entered the Midvale High School She graduated from Midvale High School in the Class of 936 Chloe met the love of her life LaVellc Clarence Craig at the Cambridge Rodeo the summer of 936 They were married July 17 93 7 at Granges illc Idaho They returned home to South C ranc C reck area w here together they established their ow n ranch and w here then tw in sons were bom and raised Chloe was an artist she entered her paintings in local fairs and art shows She was also an artist at baking especially apple pics which were always a treat to those traveling out to the ranch She was Club for women a founder of the local in the area a member of the Wciser River Cattlcwomcn the Dixie Club and the Area Homemakers Council of the University of Idaho Extension Club Chloe and LaVellc were together at all times working in the fields and making improvements to the ranch and the home They shared a passion for raising good cattle and giv ing baby calves a good start to life Tbcir fibrosis Devoted husband father grandfather soldier attorney and friend he was bom 1923 in Salt Lake City to August James Clyde Waller and Mary Marshall Waller He graduated from Granite High 1940 and from the University of School in Utah in 1946 with a B S degree and from the University of Utah College of Law in 1950 w ith a juris doctor degree Jim was called to active service in the Army in 1943 w ith a remark jble group of junior class ROTC friends w ho were sent to Camp Roberts Calif and then to officer's candidate school before receiving their commissions He studied chemical engineering fore switching to law while in the Army On his graduation he served in the Army Judge Advocate Corps for 20 years Hisservice included tours immediately after World War II as an infantry platoon leader in Japan and Korea and later as judge advocate in many memorable posts including Fort Richardson Alaska where he received the distinguished service medal with the Third Armored Division in Frankfurt Germany and at the Pentagon He also had a tour of duty as judge advocate for the Utah Military District Millard Jr private law practice He married Maxine Cropper in Evanston Wyo on March 9 1943 They celebrated 59 years of marriage two days before his death Maxine survives as do their adoring children Laura Waller Elizabeth Duane Richard (Janice) Waller and law Pam Swanscn all daughier-iand five Alfred Leonard and Virgic Broderick Betty attended schoolin Eureka until Junior High when she moved to Delta where she graduated from Delta High She was always active in school programs ans was a great cheerleader a quality that continued throughout her life She w as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Saints She was married to Jerry Paxton with whom she had two children Greg and Lana They later divorced She then married Bruce Black who had four children Lynn Laurinc Phillip and Rodney Betty retired from First Security Bank after working for many years at vaarious branches in Salt Lake Dugway and the Orem area Betty was a very kind happy and outgoing person She showered people with love and she was much loved in return She was a gifted homemaker who loved fishing and golfing all Chloe and LaVelle loved each othet and being together in work and leisure Chloe enjoyed working with her sons giving them encouragement to get an education and take leadership This meant many trips to town for the parents She was espcilly proud when they were elected Student Body President and Vice President during their senior year at Midvale High School She encouraged her father Marcus Fuchs to teach the twins his talent in fiddle guitar and piano Chloe touched the lives of many people exemplifying how to enjoy the good things of life to the fullest and how to take a bad situation flying from Washington D C to Brazil in the Atlantic and throughout the Pacific from San Francisco Left the Navy in December 1945 as a Lt Commander and came home to ranch and farm which re retired from in 1984 by leasing his farms out He and his brother Waldo farmed together and came even closer They helped their ther run cattle out ut the Black Ranch in the Vernon Mountains Dean served as director vice president and president of the Oasis Seed for 14 years as Farmers Home Administrator Area Committeeman and on the Selective Service Board during the Vietnam War Nona P Chesley DELTA- -
