am Dallas Michael Watts 20 Delta UT was booked into jail to serve two consecutive sentences from the 4 District Court On March 2— he'd been found guilty of v iolating the terms of his supervised probation from two separate cases His probation has been restarted and he is not allowed any good time or work release while incarcerated as per Judge Stott 8 52 p m female juvenile was arrested in Meadow by Deputy Steve 0'C?mb The arrest w as the result of a continuing investigation of thefts from the Meadow Texaco The juvenile was charged into juvenile court with misdemeanor theft and released to her parents later in the evening Tuesday April 11 10 50 am Scan David Gara 28 of SLC was arrested at mp 175 northbound by Utah Highway Patrol 1 rooper Mike Thomas Gara was driving a white 1989 Nissan Sentra when he was stopped for having a badly broken windshield A record check revealed an active arrest warrant and a suspended drivers license He was transported to jail and charged into East Millard Justice Court with Class C misd driving on suspension He posted the $300 bond as well as the $140 cash for the traffic warrant out of Utah County p m Walter Bevan Christensen 53 of Flow ell was arrested at 365 South 4950 in Flowcll by Deputies Steve O'Camb and Clete Carter Christensen was booked jail to serve a jail commitment for contempt of court The contempt order was issued by the 4 District Court in Fillmore for failing to comply with a court order in reference to payment of back child support 3 45 p m Bernardo Flores Rabadan 41 of WA was arrested at 300 North 400 West in Fillmore by Sgt Scott Cony MCSO dispatch had received report of a possibly intoxicated subject standing in the middle of the road Upon arrival Corry and other deputies spoke to the subject who appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was disoriented He was arrested for Class C misd public intoxication as he appeared to be a danger to himself and others He spent the night in jail and appeared before Judge Hare the following morning Upon a motion by the city attorney he was released from custody as he did not appear to be competent to understand the charges filed against him He was then transported out of the county 21 Ryan Corry 19 and Douglas Kaman 24 all 9 48 p m Richard “Rick”Truswell of Delta were charged into Delta City Justice Court w ith Class B misd theft of services The three had been stay mg at the Dcltan Inn Motel on main street in Delta Deputy Steve Allred and Reserve Deputy Ray Wright investigated the incident where the three had been staying at the motel and failed to pay for their last day a bill of $4999 When confronted by Motel personnel they became belligerent and left They were located walking around Delta and were each cited All three w ill be appearing in DCJC this week They are also free on bond from the 4 District Court where they were charged in the forgery case at Quality Thriftway A bail condition in that case is that they not commit any further law violations Wednesday April 12 330 p m Clayton Gary Kapler 22 of Oak City was arrested at 60 East 100 North in Oak City by Adult Probation and Parole Officers Kelly Keyes and Ron Wilson Kapler is on supervised probation from an October 8 1999 arrest where he was convicted of amended charges of Class A misd joy riding and Class B misd DUI This arrest was the result of a home visit by the AP&P Officers where Kapler was found to have been using drugs and consuming alcohol both of which are violations of his probation On Monday April 17 Keyes obtained a warrant for Kapler and he will be held until the next District Court appearance 400 pm Brandon Leo Greer 18 was arrested at his residence in Hinckley by Detective Roger Young Greer was the fourth suspect arrested in a continuing forgery investigation in Delta Greer was transported to the jail where he was charged into 4 District Court with five degree felony counts of possession of forged documents 20 counts of Class A misd conspiracy to commit forgery and five counts of Class B misd theft Bailwassetat$l500by4District JudgcGary Stott Greer posted the bond and released was 5:33 p m Layton Corrcl Bridwell 20 of Palm Desert CA was arrested at mp 169 southbound by Trooper Gordon Mortenscn Bridwell was driving a white 1985 Nissan Sentra when he was stopped for going 88 mph in a 75 zone Open bottles of beer were visible inside the vehicle and what appeared to be marijuana was on the carpet A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana in a number of locations A pat search of the suspect revealed additional marijuana I le was transported to jail and charged into EMJC with Class B misd possession of marijuana possession of paraphernalia and no vehicle insurance Class C misd speeding and open container of alcohol Mortcnscn's report stated that there was a bumper sticker inside the car that said “I Love Drugs" Bridwell appeared before Judge Hare and pled guilty to all charges He was fined $555 dollars and all jail time was suspended as long as the fine is paid Thursday April 13 3:30 p m Robert C Wilson 20 of Delta was arrested at 277 North Center Street by Adult Probation and Parole Officer Ron Wilson Robert Wilson was released from jail here and ordered to report to the state of Kansas within 72 hours He is on parole from that state on a number of felony convictions They refused to issue a warrant for him and advised AP&P here to just have him report there Obviously he's not planning on reporting there so he was arrested here and will be held until Kansas gets a warrant for 50 West into him 3:37 pm Jason David Cordova 18 of Murray UT was arrested at mp 168 south5 by Trooper Mike Thomas Cordova was the passenger in a vehicle that was bound stopped for excessive window tint Thomas could see a crushed aluminum can on the passenger side floor of the vehicle which contained burnt marijuana A search of the vehicle uncovered rolling papers a baggie full of marijuana and a marijuana pipe He was transported to jail and charged into EMJC with Class B misd marijuana and paraphernalia Bail was set at $925 which he posted and was released 745 p m Willis C Morrison 70 of Delta was arrested at 2500 South LoneTree Road by Lt John Kimball and Sgt Jeff Whatcott The arrest came as the result of an investigation by Deputy Morris Burton and Detective Roger Young According to the report male juvenile with beer while they were working Morrison supplied a changing water on the farm Some of the beer w as consumed and after view ing a “Penthouse” map ezine Morrison took unappropriate liberties with the youth The report states that this occurred while both subjects were seated in the cab of a pickup truck Morrison then had the juvenile drive him back to his truck where he paid the juvenile $50 and asked him not to tell anyone about the incident Momson was transported to the Millard County Jail where he was charged into 4 District Court with 2"d degree felony forcible sexual abuse and Class A misd supplying alcohol to minors 4 District Court Judge Gary Stott released Morrison on his own recognizance and ordered him to appear again on April 28 Friday April 14 1235 a m Garin Ken Brunson 25 of Kanosh was arrested at 275 West 400 South by blue 1992 Chevy Deputies Rick Carter and Rhett Kimball Brunson was driving a when he was stopped for failing to signal and driving left of center Field sobriety tests were conducted prior to arresting him for DUI He was transported to the jail where he into Fillmore He was drive limit to tw the tested over ice City Justice Court a were all arrested at 360 West 100 South in Fillmore by SgL Scott Cony and Deputy Rhett Kimball All three are from the Payson area and are activ e gang members Hernandez is at least a part time resident of Fillmore The three were yelling obscenities flashing gang signs and threatening some Fillmore residents on Main Street in Fillmore The indideputies intervened and dispersed the subject who continued to harass the other viduals and finally followed them to the address where they were arrested All three were transported and booked into jail Hernandez w as charged into Fillmore City Justice Court with Class B misd resisting arrest and Class C misd disorderly conduct Bail was set at $835 which he posted and was released The two juveniles were each charged into juvenile court with Class C misd disorderly conduct and were released to their parents who came down from Payson The three were stopped earlier in the day and had their vehicle impounded for equipment v iolations by the highway patrol They are commonly seen cruising in a gold and primer colored Mercury Topaz with tinted windows and low profile tires The two juveniles were arrested here last week and had the same vehicle impounded then as they were listed as runaways Saturday April 15 :35 am Andres Chavez Garcia 19 of Fillmore was arrested at 375 West Center Street in Fillmore by Deputies Rick Carter and Rhett Kimball Garcia was driving a white 1967 Chevy pickup when he was stopped for having non transparent stickers on male passenger in the vehicle had the window of the vehicle Garcia and the was cited into juvenile court with Class B both been drinking alcohol The misd underage consumption of alcohol and released to his mother Garcia was transB DUI Alcohol (not a drop) Bail with Class misd FCJC into ported to jail and charged was set at $460 which he posted and was released 1120 am Carlos Carmona Jimenez 24 of Salt Lake City UTwas arrested at mp 175 southbound by SgL Scott Corry and Deputy Steve O’Camb Corry was working speed enforcement when he stopped the white 1995 Hyundai Elantra for speeding 100 mph in a 75 zone Jiminez was found to be driving w ithout a license and there was no insurance on the vehicle Jimenez was charged into EMJC w ith Class B misd no vehicle insurance and Class C misd Speeding and no drivers license Bail was set at $555 which he posted and was released Chevy Blazer that Carter had stopped The juvenile is on house arrest from his involvement in at least eight burglaries in the Fillmore area he juvenile was transported to jail where he was booked for iolating the house arrest and iolating the city curfew (midnight) After a juvenile probation officer decided not to have him transported to detention he was released to his father On Monday April 17 a pickup order was issued by the juvenile court and the juvenile was rearrested and transported to the Slate Canyon Juvenile Detention Facility in Provo Michael Sweeting 20 who was the driver of the vehicle was also recently convicted on multiple felony counts of burglary The Fillmore City Attorney has screened the case for a possible obstructing justice charge Sweeting is currently on probation had three knives on his person and when Greer was patted down for weapons deputies found a marijuana pipe in his pocket When asked where he got the pipe Greer told deputies that he’d been in jail so a friend of his was holding it for him until he got out He said he’d just picked it up from him but wished that he'd just let him keep it Greer is free on bond from the 4 District Court where he has been charged as a suspect in the forgery cases at Quality Thriftway Forgery Case still growing The continuing investigation on the forgery case atthe Quality Thnftway in Delta has netted four arrests on numerous felony and misdemeanor counts So far Detective Roger Young and Deputy Steve O’Camb have logged in 23 checks totaling over $1 1624 29 which were forged and cashed at the one store There was one check lor $81636 which had been forged and the suspects attempted to cash but were denied by a cashier The checks were all passed in a three weeks period from March 10 to March 30 The checks were written on two different accounts and were stolen from a residence in Delta The four suspects Richard “Rick" Tniswell a k a Rick Devers 21 Ryan Corry 18 Brandon Greer 18 and Douglas Kaman 24 arc all currently residing in the Delta area They have all been arrested and booked into jail Each suspect has been charged with more than 30 counts of felony and misdemeanor charges related to the scam The charges listed so far are possession of forged documents theft and conspiracy to commit forgery All are free on $ 500 bond pending a w ai ver hearing in 4 District Court on April 28th EMS Fire and Accidents There were 17 ambulance calls this week with West Millard Responding to 10 Faxt Millard to six and Scipio Ambulance to one There were a number of medical calls and injury accidents which involved fatalities There were also patient transfers to northern Utah hospitals There were three injury accidents between noon on Friday and noon on and deputies troopers ambulance and Fillmore fire Saturday All three were on rescue crews responded There were three other accidents that were property damage only Burglary Case Solved A burglary case that was reported at Fillmore Serv ice 45 North Main in Fillmore on February 24 in has been solved Reserve Deputy Garth White took the initial call and Deputy Bill Jackson and SgL Corry both conducted follow up and crime scene investigation Scott Andrew Miller 7 lolden and Phougnuen Chandara 7 of duffs 1 railcr Park in Fillmore have both been arrested Each was transported to the Slate Cam on Juvenile Detention Facility in Provo where they were charged with 3 degree felony burglary of a building and theft More than $1400 worth of tools and equipment was stolen from the Fillmore Service during the late night burglary on February 23 A door valued at $ 25 was also damaged All but one property item was recovered and returned to the owners Both suspects were put on house arrest and cannot be out without a parent Chandara has already the deaths which have occurred between March 18 and April 10 2) A home burglary at 80 West 400 North in Hinckley Deputies Clete Carter and Alan Purvis are the Investigating officers They said that someone used a blunt object to smash in some glass at the rear of the residence The suspect then reached through and opened the locked door The description of the stolen items has not been released 3) A guitar in a black carrying case was stolen from the back of a pickup truck parked at the Jubilee (formerly IGA) grocery store in Delta The owner of the guitar had it in the back of his truck when he ran in the store for approx 10 minutes and it was gone Deputy Steve Allred is the investigating officer 4) Approx $500 worth of compact disks and stereo equipment was taken from a vehicle in the north
