Clark and LuOn from Nephi Gene and Amelia and girls Angela Marie and Mary Ann came from Orem Jeff and Debbie Zirbes and children Jennifer Jeffie and Amy from Orem Dale Prisbrey and girls Brandy Arm and Amber came Lee and Lee Dean Sperry came from Nephi Craig Talbot came from Logan Kerry and Tami Day and Shalyse came from Castle Dale Bert and Becky Whimpcy and family Kenneth Jennifer Alisha Gregory and Erika Jill came from Hurricane Robert and Bessie Webb Hinckley Monte Delores and Brian Shupc from Ogden They set up tableon the la wn and enjoyed dinner and visiting The afternoon was spent taking pictures and just having a good time together They all went home Saturday evening Ryan Evans went to Cedar City with Ken and Alice Heidenreich for a few days Jennie Evans went to Salt Lake to spend the week with her cousin Kristie Uric Stuart and Eloise Evans went to get him and be there for Kristie’s baptism They came back Sunday evening Stuart and Eloise Evans went to Cedar City to help the Hcidenrcich’s move and brought Ryan home Lee and Janet Evans came from Springville for their grandchildren’s was on July 27 and Ryan's on August 2 The family of Josh and Ida Finlinson held their reunion in Oak City Canyon Children of Josh and Ida there were Dwain and Dorothy Finlinson Eldona and Belva Sorenson Ina Nielson Rebecca Pratt Gordon and CTarice Nielson and Lorraine Anderson With children grandchildren and great grandchildren there were 95 members there Grant and Vemell Humphries stopped to visit Maccl Anderson last Sunday They used io live here but are in Salt Lake now Visiting last week with Macel Anderson were Ben and Winnifred Cope of Ely NV and their daughter Laura Jean Nielson and children Aaron Emily Katie Annie and baby girl of Aloha OR Visiting this week with Macel Anderson are grandchildren Ken and Jill Cox and children Wendy and Heidi from Orem and Chennel Cox from Garden NV Visiting with Ralph and Eda Christensen were their children Evelyn Bowen and children Zachary and Ashlee from Provo Alice and Tiffany Heidenreich from Provo They all stayed for four days then Ken Heidenreich came from Cedar City for one day Alan and The Nena Talbot Wilkins Nena Talbot Wilkins Nena Talbot Wilkins age 80 died August 7 1990 at her home in Lynndyl She was bom November 28 1909 at Hinckley Utah a daughter of George Eli and Sarah Molmda Alldredge Talbot She married Lowell L Wilkins July 8 1929 at Fillmore Utah later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple he died January 19 1985 She was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Relief Society Pres Sunday School Sec Primary Teacher Temple Ordinance Worker She was a school lunch room worker for years She is survived by a son Lei and Ray Salt Lake City daughters Mrs Marion (Barbara Jean) Anderson Oak City Mrs Junior (Enla) Baird Fredonia AZ Mrs Kent (Linda) Stewart Delta 16 grandchildren 38 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband and son Robert D Funeral services will be held Saturat am in the Leamday August ington Ward Friends may call at the Nickle Mortuary Friday from 7 to 8 pm and at the church Saturday one hour prior to services Burial will be in the Hinckley Cemetery their parents Glen and Lavon Christensen on the fourth Randy and Carolyn Hutton and children Derrick and Danielle from Calif were camping up the canyon and visiting friends here in town They used to was getting started hveherewhenlPSC Randy still comes occasionally to check in at the planL Reid Shelley Melville died July 30 1990 in Bountiful Utah He was bom June 30 1908 in Shelley Idaho to John and Thcodocia Chipman Harvey Shelley Melville He married Edna (Ted) Birmingham August 4 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple Among survivors is his sister Lois Maxficld of Delta Funeral services were held on August 3 1990 at R us son Brother Mortuary Chapel Interment was in the Bountiful City Cemetery (From Reid S Melville Life Story) My grandfather James A Melville was called by the church on a special assignment to help colonize the Della area He was also instrumental in establishing the irrigation companies that still exist It was during this period that he got into the real estate promotion business He started buying sections of land then put a 40 acre or an 80 acre piece under cultivation and plant alfalfa He would bring his customers down from Salt TAX Oak City Canyon was the setung for the annua Langston Reunion held July 20 21 and 22 Descendants of Jacob Alma Langston lifelong resident of Hinckley Utah gathered in the canyon for the three day event It was like “coming home” for many of the family members who grew up in the Hinckley area One hundred twenty six of Jacob Alma's direct descendants were in tendance Weekend activities included softball volleyball horseshoes dancing storytelling singing water fights an auction family barbecue and lots of comradery All of Jacob Alma's ten children are still living Three of his daughters reside in the area including Virginia Anderson of Oak City Donna Sagers of Delta and Orpha Taylor of Hinckley Under the direction of Carla Johnson another daughter lots of family ties were strengthened old times relived and new memories made as a great time was had by all INCREASE The East Millard Recreation District has proposed to increase its property tax revenue from $0 to $1 0200000 and to increase its total budget from $0to $1362 00000 percentages for these increases are not available as there was no budget for this district for 1989 These increases are the result of a new budget for this district for 1990 A vote which empowered the district to levy property taxes was made the November 1989 election concerned citizens are invited to attend a public hearing on the tax increase to be held on August 21 1990 at to look for pumice I apparently showed a very keen interest in his new automobile and asked so many questions on how to drive ithe stopped the car on the old mud flats and taught me how to drive After learning how to start it slop it turn it and guide it I then drove the car back to Delta When I was ten years of age grandfather used me as a chauffeur paid me two bits a day to drive him and his real estate customers over to McCormack and other places to look at the land he was selling I drove and he sat in the middle of the back seat selling real estate to his potential customers (Note by his 1990 in Las Vegas Nevada She was bom February 24 1914 in Holden Utah to Edwaid P and Ida Bennett Christensen She graduated from Delta High School and Dixie College and received her bachelor's degree from the College of Southern Utah in Cedar City She married Byron Dee Roundy May 17 1939 in the St George LDS Temple Mrs Roundy taught elementary school at Deseret Alton and Orderville for nearly 30 years and served as principal of the Alton School for ten of those years She was an excellent bookkeeper and did the books for the family sawmill and mining businesses She was an tive member of the Alton Ward serving as Young Women’s President in the Relief Society and Primary presidencies as a teacher and in many music positions She loved her family her students and children in general She enjoyed travel good movies photography music and dancing She and her husband played in dance bands She She wrote poetry plays and was always eager to learn completing many BYU home study courses She loved life and made the best of any situation Survivors include her husband Byron Dee Roundy of Alton children Gene Edward and Lenora Roundy Cedar City UT Wayne and Glcnna Anderson Las Vegas NV 13
