also visited Mary Bassett at the Sands while I was sway with my children in Bountiful and Spanish Fork Kay Bassett celebrated his 50th birthday on July 4 The family met at his home to celebrate with him in Spanish Fork Mary Jane Libby passed away July 12 She was my close neighbor and t lovely friend Her Memorial Service w as held at the Community Presbyterian Church Monday July 6 at 3 pm Mrs Arietta Herron had her 85th birthday July 13 She had her tonsils taken out the day after and is back m her apartment doing well Marge and Ed Hawley will have their daughter and family from Wisconsin for a visit through July 14 Lorraine Palmer received word of an automobile accident of her grandson Craig Church son of Howard and Jo Church of Delta Golda’s brother and wife Pete Stewart and Hazel came to see her Hazel was here for her 50th class reunion We picked up our sister Oleta Swenson and took a drive around Hinckley and Abraham then to Ofcta's for supper and visiting on the lawn They stayed at Oleta's On Sunday son Tim Talbot and family came to visit We took a ride down by the Res and Lake Shore On July 14 we had a Talbot Reunion at Oak City sure had a big crowd Tuesday Linda Karen and Linda’s 3 grandchildren came as did Nelda and Arde3 Jenkins of Arizona They are camping in the Oak Creek Canyon The Lathe! and Margaret Call ister family reunion was held at the White Sage Park July 7 with all of their children but two in attendance Chloeen and Mark Bybee were in charge this year The activities started on Friday evening July 6 with swimming at the pool Saturday morning die group were served breakfast with Mark and Chloeen Neuman and Judy cooking and serving Elizabeth ZaSeski was in charge of the program in which each family participated Jerry and Susan had fun games and sports for all ages Robert and Sandra assigned die lunch and Chloeen cooked chicken for all JoAnn C Miles had the genealogy meetin g arranged and Maralyn Wood had an interesting display of old family pictures Raymond and Jennie have recently returned from a trip to Israel and Scotland and the Isle of Man Raymond reported on interesting contacts with other Cal is ten there and had visited placed where Thomas Callister had lived and his biography was given to a man who is printing a book on the early families of the Isle of Man Katherine and Martin J Wistcsen and family and Patricia and Darrell Caliison and family were unable to tend There were 105 present Mrs Eiden Shurtz have their daughter Ella Manis and her two girls Alyshia and Jenny from Mesa A Z visiting with them for a few weeks Eiden and beta had a Fourth of July breakfast for their families and Gary and Karen Shurtz and dure sons Jason Nick aid Lance were there son David Jay and Yvonne Shurtz and two grandsons David and Mike Mosher from Orem Adam Ilia Mae and two girls The evening of the Fourth of July Jay end Yvonne Shurtz had a barbecue with daughter Gwen and Ron Mosher and sons David and Mike from Orem Brent Charles William and Enie May Cummings Day He mamed Wadi Carling April 5 1934 in Fillmore He was a veteran of WWH serving in the Navy He was seif employed owned and operated Day's Texaco Service He was employed as an electrician for Stuart Electric in Fillmore Prior to WWII hews a dealer for Utah oil Co charter member of the Fillmore Fire Dept charter member of the East Millard Jeep Posse Enjoyed the outdoors and w as an avid hunter and fisherman He was a member of the LDS church He enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren Survived by wife of Fillmore and 4 sons Cloyd C and Rayma J Kenneth and Annette all of Fillmore Wendell and Lee of Facentia Ca 10 grandsons and 2 foster grandand granddaughters a sister daughter 19 Lucille Ashby of Fillmore Funeral service were held Wednesday Ricker Libby Mary Jane Ricker Libby age 88 died July 12 1990 at Delta Utah She was bom June IS 1902 in New York State to Joseph and Lottie Brown Ricker She married Alfred Libby March 4 1933 He died August 27 1983 She was a member of the Delta Community Church She moved to Fillmore to be near to her brother S G Ricker After his death she moved to the Sands Apartments in Delta Prior to moving to Fillmore she lived in other ares of the United States including Cleveland Ohio San Diego California and Fort Lauderdale Florida Her son James B Libby was killed in an automobile accident at the age of
