Show Pace 8 Millard County Chronicle Progressing 7 13SQ Ej) C FILLMORE The families of Martin and Caroline Hansen held a reunion at the Fillmore City Park adjoining the Territorial State House Museum on Sunday May 26 1990 Martin and Caroline Hansen were blessed with eleven children all of w hich were represented at the reunion except home of Gordon Niched to attend a reception and dinner in honor of Gad's baptism Also attending was Shirlene’s daughter DcAnn Walberg and daughter Kim of Salt Lake City The neat day Friday May 25 Dean Shiricnc and June went to Delta to the homes of sister Norma Pearson and brother Scod Chesley where they visited with them and their families June stayed in Delta and Dean and Shiricnc returned to Fillmore where on Saturday May 26 they attended the Jack and Mlissa Dav ies family reunion Their first family reunion was held in 987 since then they have been honoring each son on Memorial Day Hillman Davies the oldest of sia brothers w as honored in 1988 Blake Davies and Olivia Davies were honored in 1989 Then the neat three brothers were skipped to honor the youngest brother Ruben Davies because his w ife Dean Davies Robison is the only one still living She was honored along with her late husband Ruben Davies Their four children Shiricnc Beverly Chesley and Fred and their families attended the reunion Also representatives of each Davies brother were in attendance The reunion w as held at the Senior Citizens Center in Fillmore with 84 attending Angie Green enjoyed visits with her family Sunday Monday and Tuesday Her sister Millie Pace of Della and brother Laync Botxomfield of Pleasant Grove came on Monday May 28 A visit at the cemetery w as followed by dinner at a local cafe and hours of visiting On Sunday Gloria Jackson came from Brigham City She visited with many of her friends and relatives and brought flow ers for her parents and other relatives at the cemetery On Tuesday she and her cousin Angie Green discussed family history and enjoyed lunch at a local cafe Ray and Gwen Rowley spent Saturday at Snow College in Ephraim where she enjoyed the 5fXh class reunion of Snow High School The 17 members present of the class and their partners enjoyed remembering and visiting the area they began their education as a part of the Snow College Training Schsxrl for teachers David and little daughier Cassic of Sandy spent Saturday and over Sunday in Fillmore visiting his parents Ray and Gwen Rowley and brother Dan Jeff Nancy Amanda and Brian Wight of Sandy spent the weekend with Phil and Darlene Russell Joined by Grandma Jean Russell Toby Kim and Jenny Russell they all camped and one family The children grandchildren and great grandchildren came from widely separated parts of the USA such as New York Florida Michigan Colorado Oregon Southern and Northern California and Northern California and different parts of Utah The family members enjoyed a well organized reunion which was planned by their hostess Adele West and included visiting a tour of the museum and a very special lunch which was served to all the family members Pat Teeplcs of Delta came to Fillmore Monday May 28 Memorial Dav and spent the day with her mother Lucille Ricker Mae Cahoon and her daughters Barbara Wood of Salt Lake City and Colcenc Johnson of Tremonton and Coleene's granddaughter Erin Com of Idaho drove to ElyNV Friday May 26 to visit Mae's first husband Lee Birch’s sister Nina Birch Sharp She is a patient in the Long Term Division of the By Hospital However they were able to take heron a train ride to Ruth NV A guide on the train told them all about the mines and historical places along the route to Ruth They visited with Aunt Nina and staved in Ely for three days Lawrence and Lula Peterson enjoyed the Memorial weekend with members of their family Their daughter Nancy husband Randy Curtis and their children Mitchell Russell Mindy and Scott of Sandy came on Saturday and daughter Julie Allen and her twodaughters Joy and Celeste of West Jordan also came on Saturday May 26 On Saturday afternoon they all went to Holden to attend a Bennett reunion The families returned to their homes on Monday On Sunday May 20 1990 Dean Robison’s daughter Shiricnc Davis of Upland CA and sister June Chesley Childers of Beuna Park CA came to spend a week with Dean and Paul before the Davies family reunion They drove to Richfield to visit Dean’s daughter Beverly Groesbeck while they were there all four of them went to the Manti Temple for a session The neat day Dean June and Shiricnc went to Provo to attend the baptism of John Nichols wife Gail who is a convert After which they went to the c foodjj J) Cherryl HOLDEN Ph: 795- -
