50 mile plateau of accumulative lap swimming She is now over the 100 mile mark Lorene is a very smooth swimmer she just glides over the water and makes swimming look so effortless Everytime she comes to the pool Lorene swims a mile It wasn’t too long ago that she couldn’t swim that far at one time Lorene is not going to stop at 100 miles Her next goal is 150 miles The pool has been closed this past week and many repairs have been done most of them a person will not be able to see The pool’s air circulation and water filtration systems are very complex Major maintenance must be done and parts need to be replaced periodically to maintain the system’s proper functions These repairs have been taken care of this week One new thing has been added which everyone can see and the pool management is cited about It is the new outer glass partition which has been installed in the This partition pool’s front entrance should really help keep the lobby and dressing rooms warmer on the cold winter days and it will also help eliminate the frozen pipe problem which has plagued the pool since the pool opened almost nine years ago Just a reminder—since the pool was closed a week during the swim pass sale and the swim pass contest the manage- ment has extended the sale and the contest another week through December 5 Also the management wants to mind everyone that the pool will be managing waterfowl habitat is to be able to control water levels” High water levels limit nesting and feeding the dabbler type ducks feed in areas where water levels average inches according to Vic I In 1985 receipts totaled nearly $121 million dollars Since 1937 when it began monies have totalled about $2 billion dollars All of this money goes to wildlife conservation and hunter education programs Special provisions were written into the Act to protect state hunting license revenues from diversion to expenditures The very first project took place here in Utah in 1938 The Utah Fish and Game Department constructed a five mile dike along the Weber River to impound freshwater for waterfowl habitat Other wildlife from species that have benefited money include elk deer pronghorn antelope wild turkey and bighorn sheep Since volleyball standings rnr OF NATURAL Pittman-Robertso- n Delta CATCH THE ACTION DEPARTMENT DIVISION OF WILDLIFE RESOURCES 4-- i Will Beat ANY Responsible Bid on Car or Light Truck Body Repair Will Beat ANY" Responsible Bid On Windshield & Glass Replacement Will Guarantee Our Workmanship Can Arrange Deductible Financing Let Our 32 Years experience work To Your Benefit Call or See Us TODAY! 30 W 50 8 a i i I ! i &r i i |
