Show L'SPS Millard County Thun No 12 1987 - Page 5 Community Event' Quilting chapter SANDS APRTMENTS news Mary Bassett A trunk show featuring quilts from the 1850s and the 1930s by Leah Prater of Loa was the highlight of the October meeting There were many in attendance and the show was outstanding Leah has collected her quilts from various states and several time periods and uses them in wonderful ways for decorating The October quilt block was presented by Peggy Overson and was the Card Trick pattern The November pattern will be presented by LaRaine Adams November’s meeting will again feature an outstanding guest Claire Fields of Salt Lake City will be giving on many basics and a demonstration techniques of quilting Claire is author of two excellent books on quilting and lectures extensively for the Utah Quilt and Guild BYU sewing conference various shops and clubs in the Salt Lake Area We are really excited to have her coming to Delta and encourage all who are interested in sewing of any kind especially quilting to come and hear her This meeting will again be held at the ME Bird Center on Tuesday November 17 at 7 pm The Pahvant Piecers are happy to host
