team Delta wasn’t a vers when the congenial host Saturday Rabbits took the win from seven schools that came to compete in their tournament Delta’s winning score was 225 a Las Vegas followed by Bonanza team with 1565 In third place was 2A Emery with 128 and Manti placed lourth with a score of 108 The other were four schools in attendance White Pine and Cyprus Grantsville Kanab In the championship round one side ol the line up was almost entirely made up of Delta wrestlers Individual scores placed seven Delta matmen at first place Ben Eggleston Jim Cox Dan Chamberlain Dusty Callister Colt Moody Gregg Warnick and Dave Porter were Marshall second Placing Sheriff Rick Porter and Sean Thomas Jeremy Beckstrom and Eric Redd placed fourth Delta Coach Ladd Holman designates individual The girls play Jan 22 at North Sanpete and Jan 28 against Emery High School Swim Meet Coming Up The region and state swim meets will be here soon and the Delta High Swim Team is working hard to be prepared for these two important meets Thursday January 15 at 1:00 pm the Delta team will be taking on West High School of Salt Lake City here at the West Millard Pool This meet is towards part of January The lifeguard who has been selected as the West Millard Community Swimming Pool’s Lifeguard of the Month for January is Roger Reynolds the newest member of the lifeguard staff Rnper is the son of Mr and Mrs Terry Hansen of Delta He is a junior at Delta High School and is actively engaged in the speech and debate team in which his father Terry is the director Even though Roger was hired as a
