Geipher Coaches were Randy Hutton and Jeff with Scott Sheriff as Vaughn counselor When the tournment in Delta ended our Indians who played the Padres for first place came in second Each player received a trophy then a big team trophy was presented by Scott Sheriff It was beautiful We saw it at church on Sunday On July 4 Brandon and Brian Nielson played in Delta on the all star team then on July 24 Greg Allred and Brian Anderson played on the all star “A” team and the A team won John opez also played on an all star team on the 24th When the games were all over with fifteen players were chosen to make up the final all star team and Brian Nielson was chosen for that It was quiet a thrill for these boys I'm glad to hear that our coaches are teaching the boys good sportsmanship because that is what it is all about or should be A thought for the day: Too many people hope to be elected to heaven who are not even running for the office Mrs Jerold (Carol) Finlinson visited her mother Mrs Taye Smith for a few days and while there they did a session at the temple Carol also attended Logan High’s 25th class reunion Happiness at their home is their Lorene beto Miss ing chosen 1st attendant Millard County of course these girls were an important part of the fair The rest of us are happy for Lorene Our Justin age five said “Grandma it is going to be great when school starts can’t go but in four more weeks because haven’t done everything this summer That’s how feel summer is about gone and sure haven’t done all I’ve wanted to Barlow Anderson from St George spent several days counselor Rosalie Vernon and counselor Clariee Nielson and thier President Afton Dutson was on vacation Special guests were Roma C Henry and her mother Geniene Mrs Edwards from the Christensen rest home in Delta our wards newest members Joshlyn Shaw age three weeks and Mrs Jill Hintz A very delicious dutch oven meal was prepared and served by Chrtstin Blake and Jarlie (DJ) Finlinson with helpers Frma Nielson Valene and Cindy Finlinson Anne Marie Mankin and Deb Lopez A lot of good visiting was done It was a super get together The Hintz family (5 boys) have moved into the new home by Wilburn and Elaine Olsen Mr and Mrs Alden Nielson and Mr and Mrs Keith Harris had a good trip to Flaming Gorge They reported that drive is was a beautiful at Visiting this week with grandparents Mr and Mrs Bruce Lovell is Amber Finlinson from Layton They have spent most of the week camping in the canyon It has been a very enjoyable here friends week She also has special that she enjoys very much testimony learning Lydell Lovell son of Pat and JB graduated from primary into mutual taught Lydell when it was Jr Sunday School and he has been one of my special people ever since It was good Burton We will miss them as they have been such helpful We’ll surely miss little neighbors Trisha as she came to visit real often Mabel Peterson and Bessie Shepherd visited three days with Bessie’s sister Ruth Olsen Mabel is a sister to Glade Peterson of Salt Lake City He is prominent in the opera there He sings the Star Spangled Banner every year for the 24th of July parade He studied singing and sang in Switzerland for several years Bessie’s daughter Phyllis and her husband Charlie Brown brought them here to visit while they visited their friends Bessie grew up here living in the home where Ruth lives so she did some good visiting while she was here It was good to see you Bessie to Mike Roberts Congratulations son of Kathy and Glen for his scouting achievement He received the Rank of Eagle Scout It is a miracle he is here to receive this award because of a serious motorcycle accident last spring Mikehad just received from his doctor a clean bill of health Just recently saw his brother
