described this volunteer spirit as vital in helping the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation complete its mission - finding a cure for cystic fibrosis will be held ThursThe day August 29 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm criminal resource center was first item on the agenda Ron Hare explained the background of the proposal to Millard County Don Blanchard Regional Administrator of the ennumer-ateState Dept of Correction the types of individuals to be to be housed in a regional facility These included persons undergoing orientation evaluation diagnostic individuals to the prison system committed for a short period of time for release and those preparing parole violators awaiting the outor hearing come of investigation Some unique aspects of the proposal were: The facility would be attached to the county jail so some costs of operation may be able to be minimized It will be designed for 50 to 60 inmates with space designated for industry to employ inmates and keep work release to a limited amount An advisory board of community would be establishrepresentatives ed Corrections officials believe that economic benefits to the community from this facility outweigh the risks associated with it There was some time devoted to answering questions from Council and the public Most questions were concerning the risks and dangers citizens invisioned in putting this facility into the community This meetng was for presentation of the proposal to the Council and no action was taken The Council then received the application of Ernest Adams for a beer license He is a new owner of Wagons West RV Park Mr Adams cannot meet the requirements for a beer license as outlined in the ordinance The matter was taken under advisement until next meeting Administrator Day reviewed progress on the Special Improvement District Motion by Councilman Scottorn and seconded by Councilman Nielsen that the Council convene in executive session to discuss progress in the negotiations for land for the sewer lagoon expansion carried It was noted that the Utah State Parks will maintain the City park immediately around the State Parks property Del Allgood will be responsible for the area adjacent to the City Building and American Legion Building and the old hospital Motion by Councilman Rowley Councilman and seconded by Scottorn to approve membership in Utah Public Power Assoc Membership is $550 a
