Anaya, a business major from St. George, is one of only four seniors on the Red Storm roster and is intent on helping the younger players grow and im prove within the program "Being a senior, you've been around for a little while; you know how coach wants things done," he said. "You know what's expected, and you kind of try to raise the level of the younger guys." And while seniors -- on-11 25-ya- rd stiffened, allowing only two more scores in nine drives. Defensive lineman Dustin Goza, a redshirt sophomore integrated studies major from Roy, said the first team defense is running well together. "First string was ready to go," Goza said "We've been ready for this We wanted to hit, you know, go to the ground. Practic ing is hard because that's what we live for is the " game day The defense recorded multiple sacks and forced an interception and a fumble Coming off a two-wi- n season, the Red Storm are ready to turn things around and show people what they can do. "We don't want that again," Goza said. "Hopefully the seven home games will help us, four right in a row We can't lose on this turf We have to protect this house." While the defense was thriving, the second team offense struggled to move the ball and made several mistakes, including multiple fumbled snaps from the shotgun. Thompson said he was disappointed m their play but was happy overall with the offensive performance.
