LCCC then had its next attempt blocked by goalie Andrea Hooton and Blair Jorgensen made her attempt for DSC. Laramie had the next shot blocked again by Hooton. DSC's defense played exceptionally well, picking off the Bears three times and returning one for a touchdown. While the offense produced 65 points, it had four interceptions, three by Danny Southwick and one by Derek McAllister.
