Activities ranged from a big bonfire to the annual homecoming parade. It was a great time to unite as a school and show the Dixie Spirit was incorporated as part of the theme Even for Homecoming. though Powder Puff came to be a shocking surprise, there is nothing surprising about the great participation that was in all the events. On Friday night at 9 p.m., the bonfire began in all its glory. It was a spectacular display for all students. Students came in groups, with dates, or with friends to watch the Some held hands, event. some bundled up and watched contentedly, while others rallied together. At 10:00 the bonfire was still blazing with color. By 10:40 the bonfire was sizzling out and youd think the students would begin to go home, but hundreds still stayed to the end. The Dixie Spirit also remained to the end and was just as strong as when the bonfire began. There is so much diversity the students have here come together to watch the bonfire, and it has been an eventful sight for all, said Nick Neil, DSC art student. Another display of Dixie Spirit was the Saturday for the DSC morning line-uhomecoming parade.
