Dixie's second game was by far their best of the tournament . The Lady Rebels played Idaho State University in an slug fest, (for the Rebels that is). Dixie's Patterson held ISU to only two hits the entire game. Hard hitting home runs were slammed by Michele all-o- ut Dawson, Vicky Neiswenderand, and Becca Erickson to lead the Rebels to a 14-- 0 victory over ISU. In the opening game, the Rebels used awild pitch with the bases loaded to bring in the tying and winning rims in the 10th inning, for an 7 victory over CEU. First baseman Dan Wright hit a home run in this game to help the Rebels. After Wright's homer, Dixie's Kelly Robertson drilled a double to right field to help Dixie in the win. Robertson finished the game four for five at the plate. Catcher Bobby Burn's went two for four from the plate to help lead the Rebels on the offensive side. Freshman Seth Johnson picked up the win after having 1 13 innings of relief work. Johnson had four strikeouts and allowed only one hit for five batters in the last innings of play. In Friday's first game, 8-- Ryan Pini patiently waits for the right pitch to come. The Rebels went this weekend against the Golden Eagles from CEU. Rebel pitcher Brandon Lyon went head to head with CEU's But the pitcher Willie Eyre. Eagles connected on three solo homers, while the Rebels could only dig out three its and two runs in the 2 loss.
