Today, there is hardly a home in the United States that does not have a CD player, radio, tape player, or TV, making it practically impossible not to experience music on a daily basis. I think that, although we may not realize it, we all rely on music in one way or another. "I believe that you don't just hear music with your mind. Think about what life would be like if there was no radio to listen to while driving, no band to play at sports events, no music to dance or sing to, and for musicians, no way to te express yourself musically. Why does music play such an important role in our lives? Why does it have so much power? While few will deny that music is meaningful, down to the present day, debate continues as to whether music is a means of fundamentally expressing ourselves or if it is rather, a distinct way of thinking. The world may never know.
