A weekly advice column THE CLASSIFIEDS! there is anything that you would like to complain about, ask about, or talk about, write to Pandora's box. The Sun advice column, and your question, along with a hopeful solution, will be printed in a future issue of the newspa- ; f If Pandora: I know that AIDS is a huge problem in our world today, but even thought it's in the news a lot I feel that, for the most part, many college students aren't aware that it's a problem that concerns them. Anyway, in the past few days this issue has become a big deal to me, and I was just wondering about how many people are affected with this horrible monster. AIDS has become a real thing for me and 1 think that the students of Dixie College should be given more information. Maybe it will help or maybe it won't, but too much time has gone by with no info, about it. It's time that changes. Caught up in it Dear Caught up: If you recall, there was a past issue (fall quarter 1995) of The Dixie Sun that focused on sexu s h X ; ' .. r" y ft ft ft A ally transmitted diseases, including the deadliest one of them all, AIDS. No one can deny the fact that AIDS is real and when you mess around by having unprotected sex you are risking your health. By that I mean, you are more prone to get a disease that could cost you your life. The Sun is considering doing another issue on STD's and sex, but for now, hav ing safe sex or having no sex at all is anyone's best bet to be safe and alive. It you are really concerned with this issue, you may want to read up on the subject. Unfortunately, Dixie College does not offer a sex education class. I guess that they figured everyone learned all about it from their friends, T.V., or the sex ed. class you take while you are still in high school. There are a lot of people that are uneducated about STDs and it's a good idea to learn about it before it is too late.
