The sets were fabulous and the costumes portrayed the lime period well. The dancing was tun to watch and the singing was en- MJ joyable. Then Polly meets a delivery boy, Tony. They both disguise their backgrounds. He does not tell her he left Oxford and is running from his parents, the prestigious Brockhursts. She tells Tony that she is the school mistress' secretary. They are instantly attracted to one another and plan to meet on the beach that afternoon. However, on the beach Tony sees his parents who are searching for him and runs off leaving Polly heartbroken. That night Polly is finally coaxed to the ball.
