The Eccles Fitness Center and the computer laboratory were made possible through a grant to Dixie College by the George S. and Dolores Dore' Eccles Foundation. The late George S. Eccles was described as a banker, business leader, entrepreneur, avid student of economics, financial and political conditions, and a civic and educational leader. Dolores "Lobe" Eccles shared her husband's interest in support of civic, community and educational endeavors. Together, George and "Lobe" Eccles have given unselfishly to the development of Utah Education. Their generous contributions for the Eccles Fitness Center and the computer laboratory are ample evidence of their continued support and efforts to raise the quality of education at Dixie College.
