April: i Regents The Utah State Board once again raised the 1988-8- f 9 Dixie College L generally accepted favorably among students. Meanwhile, Dixie College campus and St. George City police officers concluded a four month long drug investigation with the arrests of some eleven suspects, six of whom were Dixie College students operating from the Wedge Apartments, a student housing facility located off campus. The Forensics team completed its fantastic year in California, coming home from the national competition with two gold awards and five bronze. April 9 to the 15, Dixie an College celebrated annual week of festivities that is Dixies biggest event of the year. The queen and her attendants for 1989 were Trinilee Stucld, queen, Lisa Belliston, Gina Manuele, and Annette Minor, attendants. The queen's counterpart, Mr. Dixie, was awarded to Jamison Moody, with Don Leavitt (1st) and Brad Esplin (2nd) as his attendants. The week'B activities included the queen pageant, a Pops Concert presented by the colleges Chamber and Concert choirs, the Sand Blast, the Rebelette Review, the formal dance, and a performance by Ballet West. Audiences were compelled to almost continually laugh at the hilarious and strange antics taking place throughout the play, directed by Mr. Brent Hanson. Delta Psi Omega, the theater fraternity also held its annual awards banquet, recognizing achievements on and off the stage.
