My guess is for your futures, more specifically your careers. There are a lot of things to consider before plunging into a field of study. The main thing you have probably already have considered is what subjects you epjoy the most. There are a lot of factors besides enjoyment involved. There are some questions that, if answered now, can save a lot of time and insure satisfaction in the career that you choose. The first question you should ask yourself is, "What careers are going to be available and which ones have the greatest employment outlook for the 90's?" Some of the jobs that have a very good outlook are, paralegals (an estimated 98 increase by 1995), word processor operators (an estimated 50 increase by 1995) and computer programed (estimated to have a 71 increase). Other fields that are expected to have a large increase in the number employed are in retail sales, office work, such as secretaries, all types of nursing and nurse aids, drafting, fast food preparation and service, and physical therapy. Computer, retail, travel, food service, and cashier skills are all good skills to have looking into the 90 s. Another job that is expected to have several openings because of the decline in people pursuing the line of work is auto mechanics. All of these jobs have a starting pay of under $15,000. If that does- that you are preparing n't sound 'appealing than the next question that should be answered is, What jobs offer the highest pay?". The average salary being $150,000. starting salary of $21,800-25,00Physicians and Surgeons start at $25,000 or more and have an average salary of $100,000. Mathematicians with a PhD start at approximately $30,500 but the employment outlook is limited. Pharmacists start at $25,000 or more. Physicists with a PhD start at $34,500. The top jobs for the 90s that offer both availability and a high salary are AccountantsAuditors which will have an expected 34.8 growth by 1995 and an average salary of $35,000. Job openings for Computer Systems Analysts are expected to increase by 68.7 by it currently has an average salary of 28,500. 1995, ElectricalElectronic Engineers have a starting salary of $25,000 or more and an average of $30,000. There are currently 1,331,000 employed and by 1995 there is and expected 36 increase. The final question that this article will deal with is "Where are the job oppenings going to be?" The top 5 growth locations by the year 2000 are expected to be; the Beach, Ca. area which expects to employee 5,306,100, the Boston, Mass, area which expects to employee 3,056,800, the Anaheim-Sant- a Ana, Ca. area will be expected to employ 1,849,900. The San Jose.Ca. area Is looking at 1,453,600 employed in 2000, and Phoenix expects 1,453,700. California and Florida are expected to be the top two states for employment. There's a huge variety of careers to choose from. The first step you've probably already taken, that is deciding what interests you. The next steps are to ask yourself the questions stated above and determine how important the answers are going to be to you in the 90s.
