(6) Maintain a positive attitude toward individu- - Winter Registration Exceeds 88s St. George - Registration for Dixie College's winter quarter classes won't be finalized for a few more days, by already it appears that enrollment for the 1989 winter quarter exceeds last year's by about 60 students. Dell Taylor, Registrar and Director of Admissions at Dixie, said most of the students - including a number of senior citizens - registered by telephone prior to the first day of classes on January 3. Taylor said once again this quarter, there is a noticeable influx of transfer students coming from four-yea-r colleges and universities. "We haven't pinpointed one singular reason for this," Taylor state, "but r it continues a trend, and we believe it may be attributed to the individual assistance and attention students receive at Dixie. two-yea- Possibly our students are viewed as having more opportunity to succeed because of the personal advisement program on the campus, which is excellent." Taylor noted that growing numbers of senior citizens are enrolling at Dixie College. "All they have to do is pay the $15 admission fee and then $10 per class," he explained. The older students aren't lightweights academically, Taylor observed. "A lot of them are really anxious to take computer classes. They're interested in everything.
