IV Sherlock & Stoneground E Entertain Students By John Wright Last Thursday, the Southwest Series was host to the Human Ensemble Repertory Theatre here at Dixie ColAn lege. It was indeed With Sherlock evening Holmes. The gifted cast three one-ac- t performed plays adapted from the short stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The first, A Scandal in Bohemia, pits Sherlock Holmes (excellently played by Allen Nevins) against an actress, who Dr. Watson (played by Randy Milligan) describes as the only woman Sherlock Holmes ever had Dozen any deep feelings for. The second play has Holmes matching wits with a cripple who is the only link to the disappearance of a wealthy In the third gentleman. play, Holmes finds himself witness to a murder for which he has more sympathy for the murderer than for the victim and is forced to review his own morals. These plays were done so well that the audience was left in awe watching the plots unfold, as each flow along smoothly, enabling the audience to enjoy the humor and suspense, but, most of all to enjoy Sherlock Holmes.
