FLOORING, DOORS AND WINDOWS IN STOCK PHONES: STORE ,v The Flower of Venezia, was received with great enthusnasm by four large audiences last week. Mr. Weight certainly lived up to his high standards as a director, say those who attended the outstanding production. The principals gave excellent interpretations of their parts, and the chorus rendered their numbers with that artistic touch that characterizes Mr. Weights work. Also deserving a great deal of credit for the production were: Miss Henderson, who directed the action, also her stagecraft class, who prepared the scenery; Mr. Bleak, who had charge of the orchestra; Mrs. Christensen, who was responsible for the dancing; and Mr. Huntsman and his advanced art students, who painted the back drop. All these did an excellent job in connection with the particular part of the production for which they were respon- Goodrich Tires and Accessories 5 .J. That, if a curve on a highway has a radius of 110 mile (thats d a curve) and you take that curve at 60 mph, the force pulling your car sideways is about half the weight of the car? Or if you take the corner at Main and Tabernacle at 22 mph, the sideways pull is equal to the weight of your car? If your car weighs a ton and a half, then the sideways pull is 1500 lbs. on the highway curve, and 3000 lbs. turning a corner in town at 22 mph. No wonder the tires screech. Now, regarding the bee problem of the previous issue, the bee flies at 10 mph and the boys (34 miles apart) pedal their bikes toward each other at 9 and 8 mph. Then the time the boys ride is 34 divided by 17, or 2 hours. Since the bee flies this same length of time at 10 mph, thebee flies 2 times 10 miles or twenty miles. Thats all there is to it. The problem can be worked by considering the progressively shorter trips the bee makes, but the easier me- Some minds should be cutivat-ed- ; others should be plowed un- - CAFE HAND PAGE THREE DID YOU KNOW With wind, outdoor Spanish classes, and news of Evelyn Em-peengagment to Stanley the new quarter.
