A desire to go to the top in education, and an appreciation for all that is good in life has been developed within me while at the Dixie Normal. D. Crawford Houston. The Dixie Normal College has furthered my ability to correspond with my environment, hereby intensifying my life. Harvey Staheli. The Dixie Normal College has afforded me an opportunity for a higher education. Through the high ideals of the instructors I have obtained a better moral standard. The things that I appreciate most is the association I have had with my teachers and friends whose lives have been an inspiration to me. Elizabeth Snow. C. has instilled into my heart a love of fellowship, higher ideals and nobler aspirations. Its Art and Music have, especially, been an inspiration to me. Anna Gardner. To take from my life the ideals and inspiration imparted by the D. N. C. would leave it barren indeed. Marie Blake Gubler. The doctrine of love, purity, and right living has, step by step, won its way into the hearts of mankind ,and filled the future with hope and promise. True Wisdom He that falls in love with himself will have no rivals. Happiness gives us the energy which is the basis of all health. In this world inclination to do things is of more importance than the mere power. Work is the very salt of life, not only preserving it from decay, but also giving it tone and flavor. One of the crying needs of society is the revival of gentleness and of a refined considerateness in judging others. Not in the clamour of the crowded streets not in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but in ourselves are triumph and de- feat. Your manners will depend very much on what you frequently think on ; for the soul is as it were tinged with the color and complexion of thought. A man should always keep learning something always, as Arnold said, keep the stream running whereas most people let it stagnate about middle life. One who finds joy in the doing of things can work more easily and steadily than one who works unwillingly and unhappily. Good nature is a lubricant for all the wheels of life. The D. N. C. is impregnated with a spirit of helpfulness, the desire to help one climb more succesfully the ladder of life is strikingly manifest. Iving Y. Bigelow.
