Show The Dixie Owl, St. George. Utah 8 The Passing of A Noble Life In looking into the universe of the starry heavens and beholding the handiwork of God we are impressed with the different degrees of light shed forth by the numerous stars. Human beings. So it is among Gods greatest creation As the glory of one star outshines the glory of other stars so there are noble spirits great men or great women whose illustrous lives far outshine the lives of their fellow men. Then too, as the light of a luminous star beams forth into the dark abyss or sends a ray of hope and cheer to the lost wanderer so the glorious deeds of men may extend into the dark deep chasms of life which appear to be filled with despair and gloom. Or they may be the pilot to the idle wanderer drifted in his journey of life. It is our sad duty to record in this issue of our School Paper the loss of our esteemed and dear president Brother Romney. His death is a keen loss to us. Not only we with whom he was most closely associated in his work, will miss him, but his call to the Great Beyond means a loss to the whole community and to the entire Church school system. President Romney was devoted to the work of teaching and particularly teaching in a Church school. He was very energetic in making every thing good go. He had an ambition to make his home town better, and to cooperate with any movement that was for the advancement of the country. His help could always be relied on to stamp out evils and to elevate morals. His life is enshrined in our hearts as in the faculty and as students in the his fellow-teachers |
