civics sociology etc are being made acquainted with lifes problems the subjects are the more interesting because of their being no finality about them they teem with life and growth and wonder and they give the intellect the widest possible range no student can in any sense be said to be educated who has not had his mind opened to this real workaday world with its myriad problems and abers the department of history and economics at the high school is a very R 0 U c that the w work r joffere offered is practical interesting soul awakening Is evidenced by the large number who elected subjects in the department i u ent profs pros H E thompson john W peters and orson christensen are members of the faculty who have been absen specifically trained along these lines of work and each man is eager to teach all the courses he can so en chused is he with his special line of work with all this enthusiasm from the faculty side i it E goes without saying that the work will be done even I 1
