(AP) Gerald Geis, R Hot says he believes there is a serious threat of a communist takeover of the United States. 'Theyll take this country without even firing a shot, Geis said after returning from a seminar in Arizona sponsored by the Unification Church. Geis and eight other state legislators participated in the conference put on by CAUSA, U.S.A. and the National Center for Constitutional Studies. CAUSA, U.S.A. is the the political ;and educational arm of the Unification Church founded by the Rev. Sun ,Myung Moon. The seminars focused on such problems as decaying morals, the socialist movement and government control, according to Geis. He said he didn't believe sponsorship by the Unification Church affected the pro Springs-Washa-ki- i ; I grams objectivity. He encouraged other legislators to attend similar seminars. But Rep. Sheila Arnold, came away less satisfied. She said the Center for Constitutional Studies provided "a beautiful review of constitutional history. But, she added, CAU-SA- s presentation insulted her intelligence so much she finally got up in the middle of a speech and left. She said the CAUSA speakers preyed on our real and natural fears, and then twisted them with exaggeration. CAUSA presented Harvard University, the Washington Post, the New York Times and Time Magazine as part of an ultra-liberconspiracy that threatens the countrys freedoms, according to Arnold.
