dessert Wine was offered Highlight of the event was the introduction of Jason Buck defensive lineman Brigham Young University as the “1987 Sportsman of the Year” He was presented an engraved silver bowl by Fred S Ball Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce president and Jim Buckley regional manager of TV Guide Mr Buck was the recipient of the 1986 Outland Trophy presented annually to the best interior lineman in college football He was the first BYU and Western Athletic Conference player to receive the trophy Utah State University’s Merlin Olsen from the then Skyline Conference won the
