November Magna District Asks For County Water TONIGHT and TOMORROW 8 p.m. Symphony Hall The Salt Lake County Water Conservancy District Board of Directors Thursday accepted an application front the Magna Water and Sewer Improvement District to provide 500 acres of w ater annually and transmission lines to bring the water to the community Final action will be taken after receipt of a petition trorn Magna residents requesting annexation into the conservancy district, Robert Hilbert, district manager said. These petitions are now being circulated among property owners and are expected to he returned within the next 30 days, he said. Under the plan, the conservancy district will construct a water line from 6000 West and 4700 South to 7200 West and 4100 South. Estimated cost is $300,000 for the line. That cost for improvements will he included in the wholesale rate charged the Magna Improvement District, Mr. Hilbert said. The new line will also improve service to the western portion of the Granger-Hunte- r Improvement District and to Hercules, which will help to defray the costs, he said. After annexation, the area is expected to bring $75,000 annually into the conservancy districts coffers through a two mill tax levy. Sold out!
