Show disgusting ACTIONS had they got their just deserts the crowd of young people who sat in the e est eest st gallery at the evening meeting in the td tabernacle bernacle sunday would have landed outside the bu building in ia no gentle manner of 0 all the disgraceful disgusting actions on the part of 0 young people ln in a public gathering of worship they were about the limit girls girla were as bad anil and in some cases worse than and the wonder is that the officials on the rostrum did not stop the meeting long enough to have the uncouth youngsters ejected from the building there was a row of girls sitting on about the third or fourth bench beach arra the balcony railing who kept up a chatter and 2nd nd giggle the entire tv ening actions were by passing pashing notes to a row ot of boys a few bench benc hes cartier farther back nd and they them paid no x to the speakers and exercises of the meeting than it if there had been no other persons in inthe the build ing except themselves but they were not the only guilty ones caes A little crowd of boys sat in the far south east corner of the gallery and it required but a glance at them to see that either their manners had been sadly neglected ec t or else they were wilful in their nature another group of boys occupied the first bench right in line of the speaker and they laughed talked teased each other and had a general good time the english lang language bac is most comprehensive and extensive but it is taxed fa supplying terms to express the disgust didgus st that such actions in church inspire in the hearts of the sensitive and earnest man and oman who goes to meeting to gc get t something good the majority of the people at the meeting could not hear what the boung people were saying could only hear bear tile the general disturbance but there were those sitting within range of the remarks that were made all during the services and one young girl was heard to say as one of the speakers arose to address the meeting oh h aint wo we going to be dismissed some sometime timo tonight that from a boy would bo be disgraceful I 1 but from a girl who thinks herself qu quite re a young lady it Is simply shocking a and I 1 disgusting in the extreme parents what Is the matter with your children are am you to blame for such conditions or are your hands bands clean b by reason of having given your children the right kind hind of training why it seems that the young people now A a days are absolutely devoid of all the finer iner feelings and respect for the rights ot of others and as for things sacred somo some of them conduct themselves in such a manner that they never I 1 ought to be permitted to enter a church unless accompanied by someone physically able to make them be have h ave these young people who ubo made the disturbance sunday evening were not children in that sense of the term in HI their own estimation they are young men and young ladies buts but so eo devoid are they ot of the accomplishments and refinement of a ladnor lady or gentleman that they actually bom become e vulgar in their actions it must have been humiliating in dt acl ed to those who occupied the ros rog trum tram for every move made by the disturbers disturb ers could plainly by them and yet that did not deter the senseless young young people in rude Ve b halor even the tale elder who was called upon to offer the invocation biad had to r tand at atte attention ution for some time waiting for order why such young people want to go to meeting is beyond us it if they care nothing for what is wd said why not remain away and congregate somewhere where they can indulge themselves ies to the limit by remaining away from the meeting everything would be gained for then those who desire to listen would not be disturbed and humiliated as they were sunday evening if young people persist in such actions the church officials will be justified in stationing an officer in a convenient place and have him make a public example of them the first time they disregard the rules of the church we heard several parties express the desire to t be turned loose for just a few moments in the midst of the crowd of disturbers disturb ers sunday evening and ahen peaceful men mea got get so wrought up in a their feelings tho the justification must have been ample there must be a reason why young people act in sucha such a disgraceful manner nr r and it it is a result of homo home training then parents have a big responsibility ability resting upon them in the soi called sectarian churches ol of the world such action would no more bo be tolerated I 1 than anything ng in thie the horld orld and it is such carryings carry ings on in the assemblies of the latter day saints that give the enemies of tho the church a chance counce to annoy and bring into disrepute the people but there is a limit to all things and judging from the tenor ol of the c comment of some of the church leaders on sunday evenings meeting wo we believe that if those young people desire to not be humiliated before 1 congregation of people they had better refrain in future front such disgraceful actions |
