Show COURT CONCLUDES SESSION NECRO FOUND GUILTY Judge Christensen and the other court officers concluded the June setting set-ting of Court for Emery county in !hrt order this week and left for their homes in Sanpete Wednesday afternoon. after-noon. The case of the state against Henry Jones, the Mohrland negro, accused of robbery at that place, took up the whole f the time Tuesday. Attorneys A. M. Truman and B. W. Dalton, appointed by the Court to defend Jones, certainly put up a good case for the colored gentleman but to no avail. The jury returned a verdict of guilty within half tn hour after retiring to the jury room and the defendant was given an indeterminate indeter-minate sentence of not less than 5 year nd from that to life imprisonment as provided for in such cases. Nevertheless, these two gentlemen re to be congratulated for the in-trest in-trest they took in the case. Only too often the interests of unfortunate part-i; part-i; who are dependant on legal services by appointment of the court are sacri-M sacri-M at the pleasure of the attornev ppointed, but it was different in this crse. An interest was shown on the part of these gentlemen that would hardly have been surpassed had there been a good tat fee at stake.
