Less than two weeks will have been consumed in working up the affair by Uie day set but that fact only makes for the bigger time, as no committeeman com-mitteeman is to.be given an opportunity oppor-tunity to get even a good breath much less call a halt before it is all our and not less than a thousand dollars dol-lars are resting in the chapter's coffers s net proceeds, tilts money to be used lor the benefit of every auxiliary associated as-sociated with the county chapter. The town authorities, throughout the county are being asked to declare a local holiday on that day and it is expo-ted that every community large and small in the county shall give tlx? affair its whole-souied support. The festivities are scheduled to begin tt daylight and something man's size in the way of entertainment is prom- ised from then until midnight. Plans are hardly complete as yet and could not be obtained for publication, but no effort will be spared in making it a day long to be remembered. An effort is being made to secure the presence of Rev. Peter Slmpkin as speaker of the day, but, if his services are not available, some other equally good man will bo secured. This will be the feature of the program to be given In the morning. In the afternoon after-noon a big barbi-cuo witli a big beef rousted to a king's nicety, and ail kinds of sports will be the order. There will be music and other entertaining features fea-tures In addition and every person who may be present, however varied his likes in the entertainment line may be, is assured of being satisfied. j The "big doings" end with a big i dance in the evening, the Black Hawk six-piece orchestra to furnish the music. The committee having the affair in charge was named at a special meeting meet-ing of the chapter about a month ago but it was not until last Sunday that the entire membership was enabled to get together.
