Show ROADWJ.iK i6 PLAN.kU Plans are on foot in Orangeville and Castledale to secure pledges for at least $1000 worth of road work to be done via ttie donation route on the state road between Orar-geville and the mouth of Straight canyon, providing the state road authorities will prepare to receive this amount of work. F. A. Killpack, state road agent, has been ! advised of the proffer of the work and ; has promised to secure the state road commission's c ooperation. The idea is to put this work on the road just as soon as the weather makes this possible and before it is necessary for the men folks to go into the fields. A big starting day will be observed by closing all business houses in both towns and the completion of the work will be ceUbrated in great shape. Lists will be circulated in both towns that every man may enter his name for so many days' work, single handed or with team, while those who do not sign up to work will be expected to donate cash and the funds thus realized will be spent for grain and hay for the teams. More of the details will likely be worked out by the time our next issue goes to press. |
