Show GERMANY MAY ASK APOLOGY. flesent Charge. Made Against German Naval Attache. Washington. The German embassy, according to information Saturday from an authoritative source, resents the accusations which are understood to have been made against Captain Karl Boy-ed, German naval attache here, in the trial in federal court at New York of officials of the Hamburg-American line. It was said Ambassador Am-bassador von Bernstorff was preparing prepar-ing to file a vigorous complaint with the state department at the conclusion conclu-sion of the trial, asking at least for something in the nature of a retraction retrac-tion and possibly for an apology. The German embassy, it is understood, under-stood, has not yet decided just what form the protest will take. |
