If there is an abundance of space in a trunk, it is a good idea to leave coats on hangers, first filling out the sleeves and fronts, but if this is not convenient, fold the coat inside out. placing the sleeves together, front touching front, then fold once lengthwise, length-wise, with tissue paper in between, the sleeves also being kept in shape with a slight stuffing. Some soft gowns are kept smoother smooth-er by being rolled over a heavy newspaper roll that has been first covered with sheets of tissue paper, then by straight packing. This, of course, depends upon the material and whether you can accommodata it to a given space. v |
