Show Mrs. H. A. Wickman aud children left yesterday for a short visit with relatives in Emery. Mes lames Mary Gregerson and Annie Anderson are attending state' fair and conference in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hudson of Moab are visiting with Mr. Hudson's sister, Mrs. P-ite Tolboe, and family. Court sets a week from next Monday, Oct. 11th, hut to date the siege does not promise to be a very long one. Mr. and Mrs. James Peterson and younger children are in Salt Lake attending at-tending Conference and the state fair. Dalton, first assistant; and David S. Williams, secretary, are members of the Emery Stake Y. M. M. I. A. organization newly sustained at last Saturday's stake priesthood meeting. A small but very appreciative audi- I ence enjoyed the little entertainment j given by the Anderson children of Or- j angeville last Thursday evening. Stake M. I. A. officers visited the Huntington ward last Tuesday and installed in-stalled the following officers: D. A. Fowler, president; Joseph Mendenhall, first counselor; Clarence Johnsen, sec-' sec-' ond counselor; Doris McKee, secretary; ' and Leon Leonard scoutmaster, for the 1 Young Mens association. Miss Myra McKee has been acting as president for some time and su, witn Violet Grange, first counselor; Fern Mendenhall, Menden-hall, second counselor; and Louise Howard, How-ard, secretary, were also sustained and set apart. Six new members were added to the Ladies' Club, when it met at the home of Mrs Elva Seeiy last Thursday after" noon. Upon motion it was decided to adopt the name Bay View Reading Club, using the literatuie previded by that magazine course for this v. inter, devot-i devot-i ing the study hour to the industrial development de-velopment of Mexico, and the South American countries. Interesting musical musi-cal numbers were furnished by Miss Bird and Mrs. Halverson, after which a buffet lunch was served by ihe hostess host-ess and assistants. |
