Show I I HUNTINGTON t - ' On Wednesday evening the wind blew a cold blast across our burg and our people went through with one of their winter stunts. They put on their coats and then some complained of being uncomfortable. Quite a number of our boys have gone to the camps to see what 55c per hour means for labor. It sounds big. Last Sunday Mr. Bowen, our store man, gave a talk on the Liberty Loan bond question at our Sabbath afternoon after-noon services. Last Tuesday evening was the opening open-ing program for the Mutuals of the ward, after which they gave a danct with the tickets priced at 25c gents and ladies. Rather a poor turnout for an occasion of that kind, however. Our conference visitors are just now getting home it was so good they continued their stay. You know the last one is always the best. We often hear it. 7 Our boys are on the mountain this week rounding up the stock and rushing them down into the low lands. The threshing is nearing the winding-up for this season. A good crop and a good spell of weather to care for it. Several of our people went above the thousand-mark this time. Letters from our soldier boys both east and west say they are feeling fine and like their work all right. |
