voted unanimously Wednesday to revoke business and all related operations licenses from a local bar that has had a history of trouble with neighbors El Nortinos 2741 S State St opened last October and has seen 21 cases of disturbing the peace 16 fights three knife fights public intoxication anddrug violations In the council meeting where emotions of 4somplaining residents ran high the council voted to give the owners 24 hours to close the bar and move to a new location "I feel that the city has to give them the owners appropriate time to move and this isn't enough" said Roy Johnson attorney for the owners Initially Mr Johnson recommended that the city grant six months for the owners to move commenting that a new location had already been selected But angry residents shouted that they had faced enough of the bar patrons most who usually migrate to the parking lot where many of the disturbances occur "There are security guards there but they're not doing anything" said Sgt Van Midgley of the South Salt Lake Police Department Sgt Midgley added: "The security guards will sometimes cower into the corner and were uneffectual Our officers needless to say were scared too Sometimes there would be 300 to 400 people" B3 The Salt Lake Tribune Thursday July 14 1988 ISAAC ASILIOV'S SUPER QUIZ 'raze Isaac Asimov's Super to a Quiz Answer PhD Score 1 point for each correct answer on the foundation was within its constitutional rights to include condoms in the bro- sential" The statement went on to say that the city the fair and the AIDS Foundation agreed that information available at the foundation's booth would further "everyone's interest in broadly disseminating vitally impor- tant information" Nevertheless because the Neighbor Fair draws a lot of children the sensitive nature of AIDS information and "practical difficulties" involved in distributing brochures with condoms in them the city and the founbrodation agreed that the safe-sewould nO chure contain prophylactics the
