given a prison sentence Second District Judge John F Wablquist imposed the sentences for rape sodomy and aggravated burglary that occurred in March and April When he was arrested Nelson confessed to some 60 offenses 15 to 20 involving sexual assaults on Weber County women He was not charged with these offenses after he agreed to plead guilty to the 13 felonies Nelson told the judge his offenses were drug related "I feel like I am the lowest man on Earth I know there is no way I can repay my victims I never would have( committed rape without drug use"' he said "I want the state of Utah to make an example of me Whenever a young person goes to take drugs I hope they will think of Blaine Nel- Southland said its dealings with employees are confidential but local personnel manager Pete Wei
