Show EMERY COUNTY CITIZENS PLAN INSURANCE ASS'N Last Sunday afternoon a number of representative local citizens gathered at t ,e court house to talk o"er the formation for-mation of an association having for its object the assisting of a member's beneficiary at the time of the member's d.-ath, a sort of mutual insurance proposition. pro-position. A like company has been in existence in Missouri for the past fourteen four-teen years, and it was the treaurer, S. D. Belew, who has been visiting here, who explained Lhe plan to the local people, peo-ple, resulting in the meeting. The plan, in short, is as follows: ; An efficient organization will be effect- j ed, all officers acting without pay except ex-cept for actual labor done, members will be solicited and a payment of $1.00 initiation fee demanded. There is nothing noth-ing further to pay until one of the members mem-bers dies, when the oL e members donate do-nate within 30 days a stated sum which ; his age at the time of joining desig-: nates. The money so collected (not to ' exceed $1000) will be timed over to the beneficiary, f tn re than this amount i-i collected, the balance will be placed in the treasury same to apply on a future payment. In this way, if a good j large iiumuer join, assessments will j only have to be collected in the cases of j about two out of three deaths.
