Bach, Bountiful, has learned to prepare economical dishes that offer the most goodness and nutrition for food dollars spent. Rice Sausage Casserole is one of their favorites. 1 package noodle soup mix 3 cups water 1 cup uncooked ru e h cup sliced almonds can (4 ounces sliced mushr joins hi onion, chopped s green pepper, chopped, optional Va cup sliced celery, optional Brown and drain sr usage Place in large casserole dish or baking pan Cook noodle soup mix in the 3 cups water according to directions on package. Add rice, almonds, mushrooms, onion, gieen pepper and sliced celery to sausage in casserole dish. noodle soup over combined ingrePour dients. Blend. Cover tightly and bake at 325 degrees lor about one hour. Stir frequently Serves six to eight Sausage Casserole (Mrs. Richard O'Brien) pound pork sausage (Italian sausage best) 2 green peppers, chopped into pieces can (28 ounces) tomatoes, mashed but not drained 6 bay loaves Dash of paprika pre-cooki- xi . 1 1 buttered 9 x baking dish. Top with cheese Brown sausage and drain. Place over cheese. Beat eggs with the 2W cups milk. Add dry mustard. Pour over ingredients in baking dish Cover and refrigerate overnight. Dilute mushroom soup with the h cup milk. Spoon over egg mixture. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 4 hours or until set. Serves six to eight.
