Show I feninty Qj L ) EMERY The Young Men's Association began their meetings Tuesday night. They certainly mean business, judging from the spirit of enthusiasm with which they began. The water is turned cut of the town canal and all the farmers are busy cleaning clean-ing the canal and tunnel. Mr. G. T. Olsen made his appearance in town last week. He left the first of this week, jaccompanied by his daughter Katie, who will reside with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. G. T., Jr. at Richfield. Miss Grace Bur.derson has gone to Castledale to attend the Academy. We are glad to see our young people go off to school but A e miss their faces here. All the threshing machines are kept buty as the farmers are anxious to get their work dune before cold weather comes on. The little'daughter of Neils Hansen, who has been tUif ring from an attack of typhoid fever is on the rapid improve. Mrs. Ada Pety has a swell line of cloaks on dispUv from Castledale Co-op and invites all the ladies to call and look them over whether they want to buy or not. HUNTINGTON On Sunday last superintendent of Religion Re-ligion class work, Frank Killian and aids, accomponied by Elder Daniel B. Jones of Salt La,e City, one of the General Board, were visiting with us. At 10 a. m. they held a convention and at 2 p. m. they attended the Sacrament meeting, after thj opening service the bishop turned the meeting over to them and they gave some good talks on Religion Re-ligion class work. An extra number of strangers in town all the week. Their business they generally gen-erally keep to themselves, but that's all right, we with our surroundings can be looked at all O. K.. Heber Frandon i-nd his road gang went through town on Monday and struck camp about two miles north. On Tuesday evening the Mutual Improvement Im-provement Association met in regular class work. There was an extra good showing of the young folks present, nearly 100 were enrolled and we hope to see them continue in the good work through the season. Prof. D. C. Wood-I Wood-I ward in charge of the seniors and Marion Guymon in charge of the juniors j The Young Ladies are always doing well, one-of the leading helps of the ward. On Monday evening next the Young Ladies will hold their Holloween party. They have a new program and expect to have a nice time. All are invited to see the ghost population. Come with your funds to help the Y. L. M. I. A. It costs them something to be Young Ladies. We are all well in Huntington, all able to eat and work but there is always al-ways a few who will not work "the world owes them a living," so they say. Another car of seed was shipped from the Co-op on Thursday morning. It seems Wm. is doing something. |
