Saturday spoke in support of Utah Republican 1st District congressional candidate Jed Richardson at a GOP fund raising dinner at the Hotel Utah. Also present at the dinner were Utah GOP Sens. Jake Gam and Orrin G. Hatch. I cant think of a more important cause in America today that electing to the U. S. House of Representatives men and women who understand the importance of the free enterprise system, Rep. Kemp said at a press conference before the dinner. Jed Richardson is such a man. As a representative, I certainly share the principle that Orrin and Jake stand by and that is: you serve your party best by serving America first. 1 Roth-Kem- Tuesday Through Thursday Cool unsettled weather Utah with chance of showers at rimes but also tunny periods. The clinic, sponsored by the Utah Immunization Action Committee and Sell Lake Health Deparment, immunized 484 persons, giving 781 shots, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The turnout was smaller than health officials had anticipated Dan Kinnersley of the Salt Lake y Health Department said the clinic had been prepared to administer 1,000 to 1.500 immunizations. John Becker, committee chairman, said 50 volunteers were on hand to help with the clinic. Children receiving shots were given free food and free zoo, movie and stale fair tickets, he reported. Immunizations at the clinic protect against the seven childhood diseases Utah law requires all kindergarten students, transfer students and transfers from private schools to be fully immunized against the diseases. In Salt Lake County, parents have until Oct. 16 to get their children immunized. After that date, the students may be excluded from school.
