Arcilee Burnett entertained Tuesday Tues-day evening in honor of her sixteenth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen entertained enter-tained at dinner Sunday Dec. 8th. A skating party was given Monday evening at the Armory Hall fcr the benefit of the Public Library. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jensen tendered tender-ed a very pleasant surprise at their home Monday evening. Miss Virtu Johnson entertained a number of her friends, at her home Thursday evening, December, 12th. All present reported as having an enjoyable en-joyable time. Mrs. Oscar Anderson, Mr3. N. S. Neilson and Mrs. A. E. Peterson left for a trip to Salt Lake Sunday, Dec. 7th. and also to Garfield to visit with Mrs. Jas. 0. Meiling. Mrs. F. C. Jensen entertained a number of her friends at an elaborate' elabor-ate' dinner party Monday afternoon at her home. A number of games were played, one of which Mrs. Fred Ericksoii received first prize, a beautiful beauti-ful hand'painted cake plate. All present . expressed themselves.as having a most enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oldham entertained en-tertained a number of their friends at a card party last Monday evening in ' honor of Mr. Oldhams birthday. A I big aupper was served and a most enjoyable en-joyable f'me was had. J. W. Cherry was a business visitor in Richfield early this week. Mr. C. P. Hansen of Richfield was in Mt. Pleasant this week visiting with his sister. Mrs. M. R. Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. James Burton of Kenilworth came to Mt. Pleasant last Monday on account of the serious illness ill-ness of his mother, Mrs. Joseph Burton. Bur-ton. Mrs. Jacob Bigler went to Heber City last Tuesday to visit with her daughter Lydia. James Monsen returned Monday from a business trip to Monroe where he bought a shipment of mutton ready for market. Fred Fecher of the Forest Service at Ephraim was in Mt. Pleasant this! wek on business relative to the ser vice and the Cattlemen's association here at Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. O. F. Wall and Mrs. Fred Rasmussen went to Manti on Sunday to visit with Mrs. C. L. Johns and comfort her in her bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. A. Merz were at Manti this week doing work in the temple. Miss Anna Johanson also went with them to work in the temple. Fred S. Hartzell of the Central Electric Co., of Salt Lake City was in Mt. Pleasant this week on a short business trip in tne interest of the electrical business. Lawrence Larsen went to Mammoth on Tuesday and will spend the winter at that place. He has been employed by one of the mining companies of that district. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Broadhurst and sons, D.vite and John, went to Salt Lake City last Wednesday to spend a weeks vacation in the city. Mrs. George Clemonsen and little son Frank went to Helper last Wednesday Wed-nesday to visit with Vernon who is employed by the Railroad Company at that place. They will go to Lalt Lake City before returning home. William and John Burton came over from Clear Creek last Sunday on account ac-count of the serious illness of their mother. They both walked through the snow "from Schofield over the mountains to Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kimball of Kenilworth came to Mt. Pleasant last Monday and will visit here for some time. They were called here on account ac-count of the illness of Mrs. Joseph Burton who has been very ill with broncho-pneuminia since Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing day. Mr. Harry Enos left for Salt Lake City Tuesday afternoon. He has been here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. R. Anderson during the week. And also working in the interest of the C. W. & M. Co. i |
