Christenson and family, accompanied by Judge's mother, left yesterday for a vacation of 10 or 12 days on the Weber river, in the .north ern part of the state. Mrs. Orson Madsen. entertained at Kensington yesterday afternoon. Mrs. G. D. Aiken of Twin Falls. Idaho, has visited the past week with her mother Mrs. J. Fieldi.ig who is seriously ill. James Clawson was down from Spring City yesterday on business. Mrs. Christen Axelsen entertained a dozen couple at a lawn party and refreshments re-freshments Wednesday evening in hoiv or of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. C. W. Bird. P. P. Dyreng will go over to Emery county to atttend a meeting of the bank directors in Castledale Monday and to look after business interests in that county. '. Harold Larson of this city and Miss Ella Downs of Nephi were married last week. They spent the past week in this city but expect to make their home in Nephi. Mr. and Mrs. Will Cunliff left Saturday Satur-day for their home in Oregon. Thev were accompanied as far as Salt Lake by his mother and sister Miss Esther Cunliff who spent the week visiting in Zion. Mrs. Arthur Cunningham is over from Trice for a visit for a couple of weeks. W. G. Crawford was out from Salt Lake to attend a meeting of the directors direct-ors of the Manti Bank. The usual 5 per cent quarterly dividend was declared on the stock. Mrs. Dr. Olsten leaves tomorrow to spend the summer in Cache Valley and Idaho. The Doctor will join her as soon as he can obtain his leave of abser.ee intending in-tending to leave July 30th. Miss Jo sie Munk and Miss Charlott Clark took advantage of the Elk's excursion ex-cursion rate for a trip through Oregon and Washington and down to San Francisco Fran-cisco on the boat. They will visit other California cities and will be absent three or four weeks. Mrs. Frank M. Cox entertained fourteen four-teen lady friends at a quilting Wednes day afternoon. Refreshments were served. An automobile party consisting of Mrs. Thos. K. Parry and family of Salt Lake, visit at the home of W. A. The funeral was held yesterday. . Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Voorhees and daughter, Mrs. F. D. Clark, returned Tuesday from a visit in Salt Lake. Mrs. J. R. Cox, a sister of Mrs. Voorhees, accompanied them for a short visit in this city. Messrs. E. D. Sorenson, F. L. Tuttle E. D. Wooley, H. R. Clark and C. W.
