Master Royal Christenson has been limping around of late, suffering from a badly injured foot. The injured member was nearly severed by coming in contact with a piece of glass when stepping from the bank preparatory for a swim in the local creek. Mrs. King Driggs left last Saturday to join her husband in Monticello. They will not return, it is understood, before the acadomy starts in about a month. It seems the ward choir, under Choirster Driggs' leadership, will not make a public appearance for awhile longer yet. He . was accompanied by Miss Hazel Leonard of Huntington. Quite a bunch of local sports made the trip to Orangeville Thursday afternoon to witness the horse race and wrestling contest: between Will Swasey and L. F. Clair. The Davis horse beat the Robertson Ro-bertson pony and Clair threw Swasey the regular two out of three times. The Consolidated building is progressing progres-sing nicely and it promises to be a decided de-cided improvement in our town. Some think, however, that the company should be fined for using those beautiful beauti-ful walls to support but the one story when a fine hall might have been had on a second floor. Little Georgie, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Nad Olsen, last evening even-ing fell into the cistern and would have drowned but for its prompt rescue by T. W. Dyches, who hastened to the scene upon hearing the cries of the other children. Carl Berg, also near, assisted in getting the rascued and rescuer res-cuer to the surface. Following are the teachers engaged for the coming school year: Andrew . Larsn, principal, Earl Acord, T. S. Johnson, Mrs. W. Wells, Mrs. Alice Lamph, and Miss Pauline Wood. All of the above are experienced teachers and have taught here before, with the exception of Mr. Larsen and Miss Wood who, though lacking experience, have plenty of schooling behind them.
