Show COUNTY COMMISSIONERS j IN REPULAR SESSION. The County clerk reported that on the 19th of July, . he in company with county assessor and county attorney j metwr.hthe state board of equaliza- j tion and asked tnat the assessed valuation valua-tion of reale stale in E.nery county be reduced at least 20 per cent, to make a ssesed corporation valuation and private pri-vate property appear somewhere near alike in proportion. County auditor has not received any word as yet as to action taken. The following appointments were made: F. N. Raley, health officer, ' Mohriand pre-inel; J. F. Oliver, health i oiii 'er and register of vital statities and justice oi peace, tirao precinct, Brother Erickson, constable, Elmo precinct; pre-cinct; Ed Johnson to serve as deputy sheriff without compensation. It having been found that ones salaries j as made for the joining year were in-1 in-1 adequate considering the work to he j d'Hie, same were accordingly raised to the following figures: sheriff, $000; attorney?720. Levy for general purposes reduced to 5 mills, and of this amoun t $300 appropriated to advertising and exhibition. Levy of 3 mills on the dollar made to construct and repair roads in various precincts. |
